Red Fox Studio 1/48 Asphalt Diorama Base – Germany is intended for modellers who want to display aviation markings alongside an aircraft. Its dark asphalt print features DEUTSCHE LUFTWAFFE lettering and a large stylised cross; the composition does not represent a specific real airfield.
This base measures 380 × 320 mm, with 5 mm extruded PVC and a semi-gloss print that creates an optical depth effect. Suitability for a particular model depends on its length, wingspan and landing gear layout. Matt varnish is recommended by the manufacturer for a more realistic appearance; the model is not included. The size of the displayed model also affects how much of the large cross remains visible.
