A tank model kit for assembly. Scale: 1:72; 14.2 cm. Package contents: 144 parts for assembly.The Tiger II, unofficially known as the King Tiger, was developed in 1943 and produced by Henschel starting in 1944. The King Tiger combined the requirements for armored defense and firepower in an exemplary manner. No enemy onboard weapon could penetrate its front armor, which was over 150 mm thick. The side armor is over 80 mm thick. Despite several massive Allied attempts to bomb the Henschel factory in Kassel, more than 492 Tiger IIs were delivered to the troops, including prototypes and 50 vehicles equipped with Porsche turrets. However, not all of them were used on the front lines. A large number of Tiger IIs were lost due to breakdowns caused by their heavy weight or simply because they ran out of fuel.
