The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXe was a modernized version of the famous British fighter aircraft, deployed from 1944, which featured improved armament and avionics. This variant served in a number of air forces, including the RAF, Czechoslovakian and Israeli air forces.

Eduard Spitfire Mk.IXe kit in 1/48 scale from ProfiPACK edition (cat. 8288) offers detailed plastic parts with fine engraving, colour etched interior accessories, pre-cut masks for the cockpit and wheels, and decals for six authentic camouflage schemes, including the machines of pilots like F/Lt Richard J. Audet (No. 411 Squadron, Netherlands, 1944), W/Cdr Rolf A. Berg (No. 132 Wing, Netherlands, 1944) and S/Ldr Otmar Kucera (No. 313 Squadron, RAF Manston, 1945). The model is intended for modellers with an interest in WWII aviation and offers a high level of detail and historical accuracy.
