Tamiya 87161 Sanding Sponge Sheet 180
Tamiya 87161 Sanding Sponge Sheet 180 is a P180 abrasive sheet on 5 mm thick foam, measuring 114 × 140 mm. The flexible backing follows the shape of the part, making it especially useful on curved surfaces.
The aluminium oxide abrasive is bonded to 5 mm thick high-density polyethylene foam. The foam spreads finger pressure evenly, so even strongly curved surfaces are sanded uniformly. The sheet can be cut with a modelling knife and is suitable for wet sanding.
The coarse P180 grit suits jobs where more material has to come off, such as levelling larger irregularities or rough shaping. The reverse shows the product name and grit, with each grit printed in a different colour for easy identification. The grit number is printed in red on the reverse. One sheet per pack.
