Tamiya 87170 Sanding Sponge Sheet 2000
The Tamiya 87170 Sanding Sponge Sheet 2000 is a P2000 sanding sponge sheet for plastic models as well as wood and metal. The sheet measures 114 × 140 mm on a flexible 5 mm foam backing.
The Tamiya 87170 sheet combines aluminium oxide abrasive with flexible 5 mm foam. Tamiya lists it for cleaning up flash and joints on plastic models and for surface preparation on wood and metal, and it is especially effective on curved shapes. The sheet measures 114 × 140 mm, can be cut down and tolerates wet sanding.
The very fine P2000 grit is suited to the final smoothing before polishing, for example on car bodies or clear parts. The reverse shows the product name and grit, with each grit printed in a different colour for easy identification. The grit number is printed in dark grey on the reverse. One sheet per pack.
