Tamiya 87198 Paint Retarder (Lacquer) is a 40-ml drying retarder for Tamiya LP paints. It reduces brush marks and helps create a smoother, glossier finish.

Dosage and Use

This retarder is primarily intended for applying lacquer paints with a brush. Add it gradually, up to a maximum ratio of 1 part retarder to 10 parts paint. The extended open time allows the paint to blend better and even out brush strokes.

This is not a paint in its own right, nor is it a standard thinner. Use it only with compatible paints, work in a well-ventilated area, and follow the safety instructions on the packaging. You can find the available colors in the model paints section.
