Key modelling tip (How to keep sand in place)
These fine sand particles are loose and are prone to blowing around or rubbing off. To create a firm and permanent terrain that will retain its matte finish, it is crucial to use a fixing medium. Load the granulate, shape the terrain (and perhaps fine dunes) and then slowly, by capillary action, saturate it with a suitable fixing adhesive for loose materials. This will ensure that your sand stays where it should and your model is stable.
