Hobby 2000 80018 Masking Tape for Curves 4.5 mm x 18 m is a flexible modeling masking tape made of blue film. The narrow 4.5 mm width conforms well to curves and curved surfaces, where standard paper tape easily creases. The tight-fitting edge helps minimize paint bleed and create a clean transition.

What it’s good for

Recommended Procedure

1. Clean the surface and allow the primer to cure completely.
2. Run the tape along the desired curve without pulling it too tightly, and press it down continuously, especially along the painted edge.
3. Apply the paint in several thin layers. When spraying, aim the spray stream perpendicular to the surface or away from the edge of the mask.
4. Remove the tape slowly at a low angle. On pigmented surfaces, first test adhesion in a less visible area.
