Eduard Spitfire Story: Malta DUAL COMBO 1/48 is a kit of two British Spitfire Mk.V from the 1942-1943 Battle of Malta, offered in a limited edition with detailed accessories, eight camouflage schemes, etched parts and masks. The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
The Spitfire Mk.V was one of the most widely used versions of the famous British fighter aircraft, which became the backbone of RAF fighter units from 1941. In the campaign for Malta, a key point in the Mediterranean, the Spitfire played a vital role in the defence of the island against the German and Italian air forces. The aircraft operated in extreme conditions in Malta, often flying with improvised equipment and field modifications.
The Eduard Spitfire Story: Malta DUAL COMBO 1/48 scale kit offers the opportunity to build two complete Spitfire Mk.V kits in different variants and camouflage from the Malta campaign. Includes Eduard plastic parts, coloured etched parts, pre-cut masks and decals for the eight machines that operated on this important battlefield. The models depict both fighter and fighter-bomber configurations and capture many of the unique modifications typical of Maltese Spitfires.
