1/144 JPN 97' flying boat H6K5/23
Trumpeter 1/144 Kawanishi H6K5 Mavis is a plastic kit of the Japanese four-engine Model 23 flying boat. It depicts the final H6K version with its raised wing and twin fins. A clear cockpit, waist gun positions and Japanese naval aviation decals are included. The 280 mm wingspan preserves the large aircraft’s distinctive silhouette in a compact scale. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.

Trumpeter 1/144 Kawanishi H6K5 Mavis represents the final version of the Type 97 maritime reconnaissance flying boat. Developed for long-range patrol over the ocean, the H6K family served the Japanese Navy during World War II. Its distinctive layout combines a strut-supported parasol wing, four engines, twin fins and underwing floats.
Release 01322 contains 49 parts on four sprues. Clear parts represent the cockpit and waist gun positions; decals and the colour scheme cover Japanese naval aviation in 1943–1945. The struts and floats reproduce the flying boat’s characteristic arrangement. The completed model is 180 mm long with a 280 mm wingspan, allowing display space to be planned before purchase. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
