1/16 German MBT Leopard 2 A7V

The Leopard 2 is one of the most successful main battle tanks of the post-war era. Its development began in the 1970s and since 1979 it has served as the basic tank of the Bundeswehr and many allied armies. Its reliability, powerful MTU engine, excellent armour and 120 mm Rheinmetall gun have earned it a reputation as one of the world's best tanks. The Leopard 2 was gradually upgraded to meet the new requirements of the modern battlefield and became the backbone of the armoured forces of not only Germany but also many European countries.

The Leopard 2 A7V version is one of the most modern modifications of this tank, introduced in 2019. It brings enhanced ballistic protection, advanced electronic systems, an upgraded fire control system and improved capabilities for urban combat. It is gradually being introduced into the Bundeswehr's armament and foreign armies have also shown interest in this type, confirming its high quality and versatility.

The 1/16th scale Das Werk kit offers an exceptionally detailed version of the Leopard 2 A7V. It features movable tracks and suspension, finely crafted photo-etched parts and optional markings for the Bundeswehr and several foreign users.
