Academy 13254 - IDF M-51 SUPER SHERMAN (1:35)
Academy 13254 IDF M-51 Super Sherman is a 1/35 plastic kit of the upgraded Israeli tank, with PVC tracks and crew figures.
The Israeli army operated Sherman tanks in many modifications, including the M-51. On an M4A1 hull with HVSS suspension it received the French CN-105-F1 105 mm gun with a large muzzle brake, a Cummins diesel engine and a modified turret with a counterweight. M-51 Super Shermans fought in the Six-Day War of 1967 and the Yom Kippur War of 1973, and after retirement their chassis were used for special vehicles.
The Academy 13254 kit in 1/35 scale accurately captures the HVSS suspension and the characteristic shape of the turret and gun. It includes plenty of vehicle stowage and weapons, precise PVC tracks and crew figures.
The sand finish of Israeli tanks with their heavy stowage makes an ideal subject for weathering and desert dioramas.
Nationality: Israel. Period: Cold War.
Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
