1/24 Messerschmitt Bf-109 G-5 / G-6

The Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-5/G-6 was one of the most widely used late variants of the famous Luftwaffe fighter aircraft, deployed from 1943 on all major fronts. The G-6 version was characterized by the installation of MG 131 machine guns with distinctive "bulges" on the engine cowling, while the G-5 offered a pressurized cabin for high-altitude operations. Both variants used the DB 605 engine and formed the backbone of German fighter units in the critical phases of the war, where they excelled in climbability and good armament.

The Airfix 1/24 model captures these variants with the exceptional level of detail typical of large scale aircraft. It allows the aircraft to be built with a fully exposed DB 605 engine, offering open or closed engine cowls, a choice of MTT or Erla cowl type and two different cockpits. The kit includes G-5-specific parts, including pressurized cabin features, as well as optional armament in the form of underwing nacelles with cannons or a 300-liter auxiliary tank. The model allows you to adjust aileron, elevator and rudder deflections, work with different flap and radiator positions, and add a number of optional small parts to build specific machines. The armament in the nose, including machine guns, mounts and ammunition boxes, is also detailed, while slide moulding technology preserves the finesse of the surface of the engine cowls, exhausts and main guns.

The package does not include the paint or glue required for assembly.
