1/32 F4U-1 Corsair Birdcage double-sided express fit mask for Tamiya
ASK mask Express Fit for the Tamiya F4U-1 Corsair “Birdcage” in 1/32 scale, in a double-sided version. It covers the heavily framed cockpit glazing inside and out and also includes small round masks.
The mask is ASK's own construction, designed precisely for the heavily framed canopy of the Tamiya F4U-1 Corsair “Birdcage” kit in 1/32 scale. Sheet ASK 200-M32101 from the SCALE MASK range carries numbered masks for the individual canopy panes – windscreen, side and upper panels and rear windows – plus a separate strip of masks for the inner side of the frames. Small round masks complete the set.
The early F4U-1 earned the “Birdcage” nickname from its multi-framed canopy, replaced on later versions by a clearer hood. With so many separate panes, double-sided masking pays off for modellers who want clean frames even when looking into the cockpit. The one-sided version of the same set is 200-M32102.
