During World War II, the British Army assembled 43 infantry divisions, which were fully motorised from 1944 and comprised thousands of soldiers and support personnel. In addition to combat troops, each division included spiritual support, including military chaplains who played an important role in the moral support of the troops. Services and confessions in the field were a normal part of life before deploying to combat, often at improvised chapels in the rear.
The kit captures this atmosphere through a figure of a British army chaplain and two soldiers, complete witha mobile field chapel with equipment such as a harmonium, altar and other worship equipment. Everything is faithfully rendered in 1/35th scale with emphasis on uniforms, equipment and chapel details. The set also includes decals for chapel markings and interior decoration. The model allows you to create a realistic diorama depicting the spiritual dimension of war and the daily life of Allied troops in the field.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
