1/35 GAZ-AA Сargo Truck
The 1/35th scale model of the GAZ-AA is a Soviet truck, produced since the early 1930s as a licensed copy of the American Ford AA. It saw service on all fronts of World War II and became a mainstay of the Red Army's logistical support. The package does not include the paint or adhesives needed for assembly.
The GAZ-AA was a Soviet-built light truck based on the American Ford AA model. Production began in the 1930s at the GAZ plant and by the outbreak of war it was one of the most widely used vehicles in the Soviet Union. During World War II it played a vital role in transporting supplies, personnel and armaments. Its simple design, durability and low maintenance earned it the nickname "polutorka" and it was used on all fronts including Stalingrad, Kursk and Berlin.
The kit depicts a cargo variant with an open hull and realistically rendered chassis, engine and cab. Details such as the headlights, fenders, dashboard or wooden sides match the model and allow the car to be assembled in various states of operation. The model is suitable as a stand-alone piece or as part of a larger diorama from the Eastern Front.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
