Hobby 2000 1/35 K2 'Black Panther' Polish Army MBT is a modern South Korean main battle tank in a version designed for the Polish Army. The K2 "Black Panther", developed by the South Korean company Hyundai Rotem, is one of the most advanced main battle tanks in the world. It is equipped with a 120 mm smooth bore gun, advanced fire control system, automatic reloading mechanism and sophisticated composite and reactive protection. Thanks to its powerful diesel engine and hydropneumatic suspension, it is characterized by its high speed and ability to operate in difficult terrain.
The Polish Army began taking delivery of K2 tanks in 2022 as part of a major modernisation programme. The Polish version differs in specific equipment and markings, with the machines serving in ground forces units as a complement to US Abrams tanks.
The 1/35th scale Hobby 2000 kit features detailed plastic parts with realistic renditions of the Polish version of the K2, including authentic markings and finely detailed turret, chassis and armament. The model is intended for more experienced modellers with an interest in contemporary armoured vehicles and modern conflicts.
