1/35 Sd.Kfz.234/1 Schwerer Panzerspähwagen (2 cm) Late Mod

The Sd.Kfz.234/1 was one of the most advanced German reconnaissance vehicles of World War II. These eight-wheeled vehicles were developed for operations on all types of terrain and were characterized by high mobility, good armour and the powerful Tatra 103 engine. The 234/1 version, introduced into service in 1944, was equipped with an open turret with a 2cm KwK 38 gun and an MG 42 machine gun, giving it sufficient firepower against light armoured vehicles and infantry.

It was deployed primarily on the Western and Eastern fronts, where it served as a fast reconnaissance vehicle for German armoured divisions. Despite its advantages, it faced problems with fuel and spare parts shortages in the later stages of the war.
