Italeri 7405 - Kdf.1 Typ 82 Kübelwagen (1:9)
Italeri 7405 Kdf.1 Typ 82 Kübelwagen is a large-scale plastic kit in 1:9 scale of one of the best-known German light military vehicles of World War II. The size of the model highlights the angular bodywork and the rear engine compartment beneath the opening cover.
The Type 82 in service
The Type 82 Kübelwagen was designed by Ferdinand Porsche and built by Volkswagen. It was conceived as a simple vehicle that could be manufactured, maintained and repaired with minimal complexity. That approach is evident in the flat body panels and in the straightforward chassis built around a central tube with a rear support for the engine and gearbox. Its 998 cm3 petrol engine allowed a top speed of 80 km/h. Although it did not have four-wheel drive, the Kübelwagen earned a reputation for reliability across difficult terrain and served on every front where the German army fought. The real vehicle could also be fitted with a mount for an MG34 or MG42 machine gun.
What the kit includes
The model combines an opening engine cover and a highly detailed engine with working suspension and a steerable front axle. Rubber tyres and a movable canvas roof with windows complete the exterior.
Very detailed decals for 4 versions and colour instructions are included in the box.
