1/35 T-60 (Plant No.264,Stalingrad) Interior Kit - Miniart

The T-60 was a Soviet light tank, developed and produced in 1941 as an emergency response to the catastrophic losses of armoured vehicles during the first months of the German invasion. It was a simple and quickly produced tank, based partly on a tractor chassis, armed with a 20mm TNSh automatic gun and a single DT machine gun. Although it lacked heavier armour and armament, its advantage was its speed of production and the ability to deploy quickly straight from the production lines.

The version of the model depicted in this kit was produced at Plant 264 in Stalingrad (now Volgograd), which played a key role in emergency war production. This particular production variant bore specific features of the Stalingrad series - it differed in turret details, hoods, fender shape and some elements of the kit. Tanks from this plant were deployed not only in the defensive battles at Stalingrad itself, but also on other sections of the Eastern Front in 1941-1942.
