The Arado Ar 234 was the world's first mass-produced jet bomber and a significant technological step for the Luftwaffe at the end of World War II. The C-3 version, which was based on the twin-engined B variant, was equipped with four BMW 003 jet engines mounted two at a time in nacelles under the wings. This configuration improved flight characteristics and allowed for greater armament payload. The Ar 234 C-3 carried an armament of four MG 151/20 cannons and could be armed with a wide range of bombs and torpedoes, including a special bomber designed for attacking naval targets.
The C-3 version entered limited production at the end of the war and was deployed primarily for fast bombing and reconnaissance missions, during which it was able to evade Allied fighters due to its high speed.
The 1/72nd scale Hobby 2000 kit combines high quality Dragon plastic parts with detailed Cartograf decals. It offers authentic shapes, fine surface details and the possibility of recreating an early production version with a bombsight. This model is designed for the more experienced modeler with an interest in unique Luftwaffe jets.
The package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
