Trumpeter 1/72 King Tiger Porsche Turret with Zimmerit depicts the German Tiger II heavy tank with the early turret commonly known as Porsche. Here the name identifies the turret type, not a tank with a Porsche chassis. The other defining feature of this edition is its Zimmerit texture, already moulded onto the hull and turret.
Kit 07292 contains 107 parts in total: 105 grey plastic parts and two one-piece vinyl tracks, together with decals and instructions. The tracks do not need to be assembled from individual links. The decal sheet is shared by several editions, so select markings using the instructions for 07292 rather than treating every marking on the sheet as suitable for this tank.
The finished model measures 143 mm long, 53.7 mm wide and 43.6 mm high. This specific combination of early turret and Zimmerit suits modellers seeking that Tiger II configuration without having to create the surface texture separately. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
Nationality: Germany. Period: World War II.
