1/72 Mark 7 nuclear bomb - Valom
The Valom 1/72 Mark 7 nuclear bomb is a plastic kit of the American Mark 7 tactical nuclear bomb. It works as a stand-alone display piece as well as ordnance for Cold War aircraft in the same scale.
The Mark 7 was the first American tactical nuclear bomb. It entered service in the early 1950s and, thanks to its smaller size, could be carried by fighter-bombers and naval aircraft, not only by large strategic bombers. It remained in service into the 1960s.
The Valom kit offers this weapon as a separate model in 1/72 scale. The box art shows the bomb in a metal finish with a dark red nose and yellow bands. Valom also includes the Mark 7 in its RB-45C Tornado and F-101A Voodoo kits.
The model suits a display case, a base with airfield equipment or a place beside an aircraft that carried such a weapon. Paints and glues required for assembly are not included.
