AK Acrylics 3GEN Aircraft Series Aii Light Blue (17 ml)
AK Interactive AK11910 AII Light Blue is a 3GEN Aircraft Series acrylic in an 18 ml bottle. AII Light Blue covered the undersides of mixed-construction Soviet aircraft, and the maker also recommends it for early MiG cockpits.
From June 1940, according to AK Interactive, mixed-construction aircraft wore AII Green above and AII Light Blue below, which is why the colour appears in the AK11740 Soviet Aircraft Colors 1930s-1941 set. The manufacturer also includes it in the AK11743 Soviet Aircraft Colors 1950s-1970s set as MiG Cockpit Blue-Grey, the shade used in the cockpits of the MiG-15, MiG-17, MiG-19 and early MiG-21 variants (F-13 to PF and PFM).
It is a third-generation (3GEN) acrylic for brush and airbrush; AK Interactive cites high pigmentation and coverage and an 18 ml bottle. One colour thus serves both Soviet aircraft of 1940–1941 and Cold War jet fighters.
