AK Acrylics 3GEN Aircraft Series Rlm 79 (1942) (17 ml)
The AK Interactive AK11833 RLM 79 (1942) acrylic from the 3GEN Aircraft Series reproduces the later variant of sand-coloured RLM 79. The manufacturer links it with Luftwaffe aircraft deployed in the Mediterranean.
The shade belongs to the 3GEN Aircraft Series, which AK Interactive has assembled from specific aircraft colours of different air forces and periods. The manufacturer designs these third-generation acrylics for brush and airbrush.
According to AK Interactive, the AK11719 WWII Luftwaffe Tropical Colors set contains the six camouflage colours most commonly used on Luftwaffe aircraft in the Mediterranean theatre. According to the manufacturer, the previously used RLM 78 and 79 tones were replaced by new variants in 1942, so modellers find both versions in the set alongside RLM 80 and RLM 83.
