AK Interactive AK580 Weathering Brush Fan Shape is a model-making brush designed for precise brushwork. The fan-shaped tip is designed for weathering: blending surfaces, creating dust effects, gently spreading washes, and working on larger areas. The brush helps control oil and enamel effects, pigments, and fine impurities on the model’s surface.

Recommended Procedure

Before first use, rinse the brush lightly and shape the tip or edge.
Load paint only onto the working part of the bristles, not all the way to the metal ferrule. This makes the brush easier to clean and helps it last longer.
When working with acrylic paints, it’s best to apply multiple thin layers. For a smoother stroke, you can use a suitable medium or drying retarder.
Clean and reshape the brush immediately after use. Do not leave it standing with the tip in water or thinner.
