AK Enamel effects DECAY DEPOSIT FOR ABANDONED VEHICLES

AK Interactive AK675 Decay Deposits for Abandoned Vehicles (35 ml) Creates a weathered and faded appearance resulting from long-term deterioration and is intended to depict the deterioration of abandoned vehicles, wrecks, buildings, and objects that have been exposed to the elements for a long time. The higher concentration and texture are intended for accumulated deposits, not merely for shading details. The effect gives the surface a realistically neglected and faded appearance; it should only be applied to areas where dirt and signs of decay would naturally accumulate.

Recommended Procedure

1. Shake the bottle thoroughly. Work on a dry, clean, and fully cured painted or varnished surface.
2. Using a small brush with stiffer bristles, apply the product directly from the bottle only to areas where deposits naturally accumulate. Use a dabbing motion to create an irregular texture.
3. Focus the effect on joints, horizontal surfaces, corners, and rarely used areas of an abandoned building. On exposed edges, leave the effect lighter or partially wiped away.
4. For an authentic look of decay, combine varying application intensities with rust, dust, and fading of the underlying paint, but always apply one layer at a time, allowing each to dry completely before applying the next.
5. Tweak the edges and any excess with a clean brush lightly dampened with White Spirit or Odorless Thinner. Leave part of the texture sharp and part blending smoothly into the surroundings.
6. Build up the effect in several localized layers. Add another shade or layer only after the previous one has dried.
7. Allow the layer to dry thoroughly before applying a topcoat or another enamel effect.

Use AK Interactive White Spirit 35 ml for thinning, softening edges, and removing excess paint. AK Interactive Odorless Thinner 35 ml is suitable for finer work and reduced odor.
