AK Enamel effects SAND YELLOW DEPOSIT

AK Interactive AK4061 Sand Yellow Deposit (35 ml) Creates a warm, sandy-yellow deposit and is designed to depict accumulated sand and dry dust on vehicles, figures, bases, and dioramas set in arid environments. Its higher concentration and texture are designed for accumulated deposits, not just for shading details. It is part of the Dust and Dirt Deposits trio of shades and can be used straight from the bottle or thinned for smoother transitions.

Recommended Procedure

1. Shake the bottle thoroughly. Work on a dry, clean, and fully cured painted or varnished surface.
2. Using a small brush with stiffer bristles, apply the product directly from the bottle only to areas where deposits naturally accumulate. Use a dabbing motion to create an irregular texture.
3. For a finer dust effect, dilute the product on a palette and blend it outwards. For thicker applications, leave it undiluted around wheels, track links, the undercarriage, terrain edges, and details.
4. Combine several earthy shades and vary their density. A uniform layer over the entire model would look unnatural.
5. Clean up the edges and excess with a clean brush lightly dampened with White Spirit or Odorless Thinner. Leave part of the texture sharp and part blending smoothly into the surrounding area.
6. Build up the effect in several localized layers. Add another shade or layer only after the previous one has dried.
7. Allow the layer to dry thoroughly before applying a topcoat or another enamel effect.

Use AK Interactive White Spirit 35 ml for thinning, softening edges, and removing excess paint. AK Interactive Odorless Thinner 35 ml is suitable for finer work and reduced odor.
