Historical context
In France in 1940, the "88" proved effective not only in its original role but also as an anti-tank gun. Before its service in North Africa, it had already gained a reputation as a feared tank killer able to knock out Allied armour at ranges well beyond 1000 metres. The Sd.Kfz.7 served as the gun tractor and could also carry up to 12 men seated in rows.
Release and contents
This Vintage Classics edition preserves the look of the original 1967 issue and brings back Roy Cross artwork on the box. The inclusion of 4 crew figures also makes it suitable for either a transport or deployed-gun display.
