The paint is designed for use on light-coloured undercoats from the Contrast Undercoat range (such as Wraithbone or Grey Seer), where its special consistency allows the pigment to flow spontaneously into depressions to create natural shadows, while leaving a lighter, more vibrant shade on raised areas. The result is a three-dimensional effect that would traditionally require several layers of base colour, shade and highlight.
Named after the craftworld Iyanden from the Warhammer 40,000 universe, Iyanden Yellow is ideal for painting Eldar units, Imperial Fists, yellow armor elements, energy weapons, cloaks, or decorative details. The colour is also suitable for organic textures where yellow plays an important role - skins, scales, chitin armour or plant elements on bases.
