The Old World: Core Set

Warhammer: The Old World: Core Set is a complete starter set to begin your adventure in this fantasy wargame set in the World of Legends. Take command of the Armies of Grand Cathay or the Warriors of Chaos, assemble a balanced army of miniatures and pit them against each other in epic battles. The set includes the basic rules of the game, two complete armies and all the necessary accessories – everything you need to immerse yourself in the hobby world of Warhammer: The Old World and begin your campaign.

The box contains 54 multi-part plastic models. For the Warriors of Chaos, you’ll receive 1 Aspiring Champion on a demonic steed, 1 Aspiring Champion with a battle standard, 16 Chaos Warriors and 4 Chaos Knights. For the Armies of Grand Cathay, you’ll receive 1 Gate Keeper on a Cathayan warhorse, 1 Gate Keeper with a battle standard, 20 Jade Warriors, 5 Jade Lancers and 1 Cathayan Grand Cannon with a giant loader (Ogre Loader) and 3 crew members.

The set also includes a 352-page hardback rulebook featuring updated rules, rules for Battle March and new accompanying artwork, a 16-page Core Set Muster Lists booklet containing army lists for both factions, a double-sided fold-out game mat measuring approximately 1118 × 762 mm, two double-sided reference sheets with rules (275 × 400 mm), three orange transparent plastic templates, a fold-out 12" measuring ruler and a set of 20 white dice with black dots, including 18 six-sided dice, 1 artillery die and 1 scatter die.

The set also contains 788 plastic components, a complete range of Citadel bases in various sizes, and an Old World Cathay and Chaos Transfer Sheet with 753 high-quality decals for decorating miniatures – including banner motifs for the Jade Warriors, Lancers and Gatemasters, borders, Cathayan symbols, Chaos stars and runes.

The miniatures require assembly and are supplied unpainted. The pack does not contain paint or glue. The product is available whilst stocks last.
