Vallejo Wash FX 76505 Light Rust (35 ml) is a Vallejo Wash FX acrylic wash in a light rust shade. It is suitable for highlighting rusty joints, welds, screws, damaged edges, exhaust pipes, and areas where oxidation and dirt naturally accumulate.

Apply the wash selectively to joints, around screws and welds, and to areas with damaged paint. For realistic rust, combine multiple shades ranging from light to dark, and gently wipe away any excess with a clean, damp brush.

It is best to apply the wash in stages. A single thick layer often creates streaks, while multiple thinner layers allow for better control over contrast, dirt, and the resulting depth of detail. For a cleaner finish, it is advisable to protect the model with a satin or gloss varnish before applying the wash.
