The Vallejo True Metallic Metal (TMM) range is the result of a long development to offer modellers and figure painters metallic acrylic paints that are as close as possible to the look of real metal. Forget grain and artificial gloss. These paints use real metal pigments with extremely fine granulation, providing a smooth finish, excellent opacity and a realistic, scale-matched sheen. They are perfect for detailing on plastic model aircraft, tanks, historical miniatures and fantasy figures.

🎨 BSL: Base, Shade, Light system - a comprehensive solution for volume

The key element of the TMM series is the sophisticated four-step system (BSL - Base, Shade, Light + Airbrush version), which makes it easy to create visual volume, depth and contrast on metal surfaces:

1. TMM Base: the main metallic shades (steel, bronze, gold, etc.) that serve as the first layer. They offer balanced opacity and saturation.

2. TMM Light: The lightest and brightest shades for targeted lightening, highlighting edges and highlights. They give metal a realistic sheen.

3. TMM Shade: Darker, metallic shades with a subdued sheen. They work similarly to washes (glazes), creating shadows in the recesses and adding patina and depth to the metal.

4. TMM Airbrush (Airbrush version): Specially formulated colours, chromaticities identical to BASE shades. They are optimized in viscosity and surface tension for direct use in the airbrush gun (recommended nozzle 0.3 mm and pressure approx.Ideal for fast, even priming of large areas without visible brush strokes.
