Warhammer 40,000: Getting Started with Orks is the ideal introduction to the world of one of the galaxy’s most brutal and aggressive factions. The starter set contains a complete combat patrol comprising 33 miniatures with a push-fit system: 1 Warboss, 1 Weirdboy, 20 Ork Boyz, 10 Gretchin and 1 Wartrakk. Some of the Ork Boyz and Gretchin feature interchangeable torsos, allowing for a wide range of poses, whilst all Ork Boyz have interchangeable heads. The Nobs leading the Ork Boyz units can swap their custom shootas for kombi-shootas or kombi-rockets, adding to the variety of build options.

The included 44-page softback starter booklet guides players step-by-step through the entire process of assembling and painting the miniatures, thanks to clear instructions. The set includes a Warhammer Colour Starter brush, a texturing spatula and a carefully selected Citadel colour palette — the base colours Abaddon Black, Orruk Flesh, Runelord Brass, Leadbelcher, Zandri Dust, Wraithbone, Mephiston Red and Mournfang Brown, as well as a layer of Dawnstone, the shading paint Agrax Earthshade and the texturing paint Armageddon Dust. This means you can start painting straight after assembly.

The set contains a total of 184 plastic parts and a set of Citadel bases in various sizes: 1 oval base measuring 105 mm × 70 mm, 2 x 50 mm bases, 2 x 40 mm bases, 28 x 32 mm bases and 10 x 25 mm bases, all with hexagonal holes. The miniatures feature a push-fit system and require assembly; they are supplied unpainted.
