1/48 Westland Sea King HC.4 double-sided express fit mask for Airfix
ASK mask in a double-sided Express Fit version, made for the Airfix Westland Sea King HC.4 in 1/48 scale. Two sheets mask the cockpit glazing and windows both inside and out.
The sizes and shapes of the masks come from ASK's own design for one specific kit – the Airfix Westland Sea King HC.4 in 1/48 scale. Set ASK 200-M48301 from the SCALE MASK range comes on two sheets. The first holds the masks for the cockpit panes, curved strips along the frames, rectangular masks and eight round masks numbered 32. The second sheet adds higher-numbered masks (up to 59 in the photo); the double-sided layout thus covers both the outer and the inner side of the glazing.
The HC.4 was developed from the export Commando transport helicopter, adapted for the Royal Navy with features such as folding rotor blades; all 42 were new-build aircraft. With a range of up to 600 nautical miles, it proved valuable in amphibious operations and troop transport. The one-sided version of the set is 200-M48300.
