1/48 Westland Sea King HC.4 one-sided express fit mask for Airfix
ASK mask in 1/48 scale for the Westland Sea King HC.4 from Airfix, made in a one-sided Express Fit version. The numbered masks cover the cockpit glazing, fuselage windows and other clear parts of the helicopter from the outside.
ASK develops this set as its own design, matched to the parts of the Airfix Westland Sea King HC.4 kit in 1/48 scale. Sheet ASK 200-M48300 from the SCALE MASK range carries masks 1–39: large shaped masks 1 and 5 with a group of narrower masks 2–4 and 6–8, the curved strips 14–17 and 35–38, the rectangular masks 26–28, 30 and 31, and eight round masks numbered 32. The masks of this one-sided set are intended for the outer surfaces of the glazing.
The Sea King HC.4 is the Commando-derived transport version of the Westland Sea King built for the Royal Navy. It first flew on 26 September 1979, had its main undercarriage on stub sponsons instead of side floats and could carry up to 28 troops. HC.4s served in the Falklands War and in Afghanistan, among other operations. The double-sided version of the set is 200-M48301.
