AK Acrylics 3GEN AFV Series British Desert Pink Zi (17 ml)
The desert shade AK Interactive AK11382 British Desert Pink ZI from the 3GEN AFV Series (18 ml) was the base colour of British vehicles in North Africa from October 1942.
AK Interactive places British Desert Pink ZI in the AFV Series of its 3rd generation acrylics. Supplied in an 18 ml bottle, it is designed for brush and airbrush, and the manufacturer highlights its high coverage, pigmentation and resistance.
AK Interactive states that Desert Pink ZI became the new base colour in October 1942, with Dark Olive Green PFI forming the camouflage pattern, and remained the standard until April 1943. The colour is found in the AK11646 and AK11678 sets, alongside Light Stone No.61, Dark Olive Green PFI and S.C.C. No.14 Black. It suits British and Commonwealth vehicles alike – the manufacturer mentions Canadian, Australian and New Zealand units.
