AK Acrylics 3GEN Aircraft Series Rlm 81 Version 2 (17 ml)
The AK Interactive AK11836 RLM 81 Version 2 acrylic from the 3GEN Aircraft Series is the second version of the late-war upper-surface colour RLM 81. The manufacturer intends it for German aircraft built from late summer 1944.
AK Interactive's third-generation acrylics with the AIR label cover colours for aircraft of all eras. According to the manufacturer, the new formula is meant to avoid airbrush clogging, and the paints work with a brush too.
The AK11718 WWII Luftwaffe Late War Colors set, in which AK Interactive includes the paint, contains two versions of RLM 76 and RLM 82 besides the three versions of RLM 81. The manufacturer recommends it for models of the Fw 190 D, He 162, Bf 109 G-10/K-4, Me 262 and Ar 234 B/C, among others. The manufacturer reproduced the three versions of RLM 81 from officially approved formulas used depending on the components available to a particular paint maker; two are khaki tones and one is a dark green, in the past erroneously identified as RLM 83.
