AK Interactive AK8257 Desert Soil is natural desert soil with fine gravel for a realistic representation of dry and arid terrain at a 1:35 scale ; it can also be used for scales of 28mm and larger. The material can be applied using white glue or AK118 fixative.
AK Dioramas Desert Soil 1/35
AK Interactive AK8257 Desert Soil is a natural loose material designed for desert roads, dry soil, road edges, arid landscapes, and dusty bases. The combination of soil and fine gravel helps create a dry, parched surface without the need to mix several materials.
Recommended Procedure
- First, prepare the terrain shape and paint the base in a complementary shade. This way, any gaps between the grains will not be noticeable once dry.
- Apply white glue, diluted white glue, or AK118 to the selected area. For larger rocks, work in smaller sections.
- Sprinkle the material irregularly and press it down lightly. Once dry, brush off or vacuum up any excess.
- Once cured, you can even out the surface with pigment, a wash, a dry brush, or very thin acrylic paint.
