AK Weathering Dark Sepia PIN WASH

AK Interactive AK324 Dark Sepia Pin Wash (35 ml) is a precise enamel pin wash in a dark sepia shade. Its special formula targets selected details, using capillary action to highlight volume, rivets, joints, and small recesses without spreading unnecessarily over large areas.

The manufacturer recommends it for gray and brown surfaces and a wide range of light to medium shades. The warm sepia tone highlights rivets and fine details without the harshness of a pure black wash.

Recommended Procedure

1. Shake the bottle thoroughly to ensure the pigment is evenly mixed.
2. Apply to a fully cured, painted surface. AK Interactive recommends a glossy or satin base, which promotes capillary action and makes it easier to remove excess product. If using an unfamiliar combination, first test for compatibility in a hidden area.
3. Using a fine brush, apply a small amount around a rivet, detail, or panel line. Allow the product to rise and work in small sections.
4. After a short drying time, remove the excess with a brush or cotton swab lightly moistened with White Spirit or an odorless thinner.
5. Allow the enamel layer to dry thoroughly before applying any further effects or the final coat of paint.

For thinning, corrections, and cleaning, use AK Interactive White Spirit 35 ml. For finer work and less odor, AK Interactive Odorless Thinner 35 ml is recommended.
